Cookie Policy
What we store on your device, and why there is no banner.
1. Why there is no banner
We do not show a cookie banner because we do not set anything that requires your consent. We use cookies that are strictly necessary to operate the site and the application, and analytics that we host ourselves and that do not identify you. If that ever changes, we will introduce a consent mechanism before the change takes effect, not afterwards.
2. What we use
| Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session and authentication | Keeping you signed in and maintaining your session securely. | Session, or until you sign out |
| Security | Protecting against cross-site request forgery and detecting abuse. | Session |
| Preferences | Remembering settings you have chosen, such as display options. | Up to 12 months |
| First-party analytics | Counting page views and understanding which parts of the site are used, so we can improve them. | Aggregated; no identifying cookie set |
3. Our analytics
- Our analytics software runs on our own infrastructure in our Australian cloud environment. Nothing is sent to a third-party analytics provider.
- We do not set an identifying cookie for analytics and we do not store your raw IP address.
- We do not build profiles, do not track you across other websites, and do not use analytics data for advertising.
- Because the data does not identify you and is not shared, there is no third-party transfer to describe and no consent to collect.
4. What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, social media tracking tags, cross-site trackers, or third-party analytics services.
5. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking session and security cookies will prevent you signing in, because those cookies are how the sign-in works.
6. Changes
If we introduce any non-essential or third-party cookie or tag, we will update this Policy and introduce a consent mechanism before it is deployed. Changes are posted with a dated change log.
